1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using YT2Text ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

YT2Text is operated from New Mexico, United States.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

YT2Text is a web-based platform that converts YouTube video content into text formats including transcripts, AI-powered summaries, study notes, and other derived content. The Service is provided via web interface and API.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service. Features and availability may change without notice.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
  • You may not share your account or API keys with others
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Process content you do not have rights to use
  • Circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure
  • Use automated systems to abuse the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination without refund.

5. YouTube Content

YT2Text processes publicly available YouTube content. By using the Service:

  • You acknowledge that YouTube content is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process any content
  • We do not claim ownership of any YouTube content processed through the Service
  • Generated summaries and derivatives are provided for personal or authorized use only

6. API Usage

Access to the YT2Text API is subject to the following terms:

  • API keys are for your use only and must not be shared
  • Rate limits vary by subscription tier and must be respected
  • Excessive or abusive API usage may result in throttling or termination
  • API availability and features may change with reasonable notice
  • You must not use the API in ways that could harm our infrastructure

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Billing

  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • All fees are exclusive of taxes unless otherwise stated
  • Prices may change with 30 days notice to existing subscribers

Refunds

  • Payments are non-refundable except where required by law
  • Contact support@yt2text.cc for billing errors

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for the remaining period after cancellation.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content and processed YouTube content), is owned by YT2Text and protected by intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any original content you create using the Service. You grant us a limited license to process your requests and provide the Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. AI-GENERATED CONTENT MAY CONTAIN ERRORS OR INACCURACIES.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YT2TEXT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless YT2Text and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Non-payment of fees
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Extended periods of inactivity
  • At our sole discretion with reasonable notice

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data after a reasonable retention period.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Mexico, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts.
